I know about Abdul Mannan Manna going through 'somokalin sora of the daily Somokal. He used to write rhymes highlighting various economic topics. He is not a so called soraker who are self focused. Many translated and composed writings of Manna were published in the various columns of the daily bhorer kagoj, in its golden age before the Prothom Alo publication. At that age daily bhorer kagoj was one and only favourite daily of progressive and advanced readers. Manna has wide commitment in his book of rhymes ' Notun Prithib Shishur. It would be a bad luck for us that we only blindly evaluate the self established writers. In his "Notun Prithibi Shishur" Manna has highlighted the new generation as fear free, progressive and prospecting.Their lives should be abundant with all facilities for a fair life. Unfortunately, Manna's Notun Prithibi Shishur got mere publicity in the print media. Yet Asiatic Society got several rhymes from Manna's Notun Prithibi Shishur publishished in the eve of 400 years of Dhaka. I think Mannan ought to be properly evaluated.
